THE CDMX STORY

Beatrice Nacor and Daniel Pineda are the driving force behind CDMX, Melbourne’s vibrant and authentic Mexico City–style taqueria. Their journey began with a simple yet powerful passion for real Mexican food and drinks.

In 2022, CDMX came to life—an urban slice of Mexico City nestled in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. As a bustling hole-in-the-wall inside Melbourne Central, it quickly gained a loyal following for its fast, flavour-packed tacos and soon earned a reputation as the home of the best birria tacos in Melbourne.

The momentum continued in 2023 with the opening of a second CDMX location in Brunswick East, which went on to win Time Out’s “Best Cheap Eat in Melbourne”. This recognition reflects their unwavering commitment to delivering true Mexican street-food flavours, rooted in artisanal taco recipes sourced straight from the heart of Ciudad de México.
