Step right up for Vaudeville Smash’d! The ultimate Saturday night collision of music, comedy, cabaret and controlled chaos. This electric variety show smashes together vintage vaudeville flair with a twist of disco, funk, and unexpected surprises.
Hosted by the charismatic showmen of Vaudeville Smash, one of Australia’s most electrifying live bands. The series will feature a rotating lineup of Melbourne’s finest show-stoppers, from circus aerial acrobats and burlesque queens to the theatre district’s wildest singers. Vaudeville Smash’d is a high-octane, no-holds-barred night of entertainment where anything can (and will) happen.
As part of its grand opening season, Vaudeville Smash’d will help launch Melbourne’s newest entertainment precinct, Spiegel Haus, with a five-show residency running every Saturday night from November 8 to December 6.
Legendary for their live shows and musicianship, Vaudeville Smash are an eccentric spectacle that leave fans wondering what they just experienced, then coming back for more. Since their first gig at Fitzroy’s Bar Open, Melbourne’s Vaudeville Smash have carved their own niche, building a formidable following in Australia and around the world. Their adventures include Japan, where they headlined the Sapporo Jazz Festival, to gracing stages in New York, Austin Texas, at South by Southwest, Singapore, Toronto, Spain, and Italy. They're also Australian festival favourites, playing Woodford Folk Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, Secret Garden Festival, St Kilda Festival and Blues On Broadbeach.
The band gained international recognition in 2014 when they released Zinedine Zidane featuring late veteran commentator Les Murray. A viral sensation about a popular French professional football player, the single has garnered over 14 million streams, 28 million YouTube views and was named among Billboard’s top 10 unofficial World Cup anthems.
They are currently working on their fourth studio album, due to drop in 2026.
