GENERAL TICKETING

HOW DO I BUY TICKETS

Tickets for all events at Spiegel Haus Melbourne are available online through our website. Simply click the “Book Tickets” button on your chosen event and you will be directed to our official booking partner, Universe, to complete your purchase. Alternatively, you can visit us at the Box Office at 217 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. Our Box Office opening hours and further details are available here. Please note: Universe is the only authorised ticket seller for Spiegel Haus Melbourne events. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets only through our website or directly from Universe to ensure validity.

WHAT DOES RESTRICTED VIEWING MEAN?

The distinctive design of Spiegel Haus Melbourne means that some seats may have a partially obstructed view of the stage. This could mean that certain elements of the performance or sections of the set are not always fully visible from these locations. These seats are priced to reflect their view. Keep in mind that what is considered a restricted view for one production may provide a great vantage point for another, depending on the performance layout and set design.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE EMAIL & PRINT AT HOME TICKET OPTIONS?

If you choose Email delivery, you’ll be sent an email containing a link to “View Tickets”. From there you can access your QR code tickets for scanning at the venue or add them directly to your mobile device’s digital wallet for quick entry. We encourage guests to use digital tickets wherever possible, supporting our commitment to reducing paper waste. If you select Print at Home, you’ll receive your tickets as a PDF attachment via email. These can be printed and presented at the door if you prefer to bring a physical copy.

I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY TICKETS YET, WHAT DO I DO?

When you purchase tickets through the Spiegel Haus Melbourne website, you’ll receive a Confirmation Email shortly after completing your order. Your tickets will also be available in your Universe account and will be sent via a separate email. In some cases, tickets may be held back for delivery until closer to the performance date. Please check your confirmation email for details on when to expect them. If you’ve received your confirmation email but are still unable to locate your tickets, please contact our Box Office team for assistance.

DO YOU OFFER CONCESSION DISCOUNTS?

Some performances at Spiegel Haus may offer concession-priced tickets. Eligibility can include holders of a government-issued Australian Seniors Card, Pensioner Concession Card (excluding Health Care Cards), Veterans Affairs Card, Carers or Companion Card, or a current full-time Student Card. To see if a concession discount applies to your chosen performance and confirm your eligibility, please refer to the ticketing details on the event page. Please note that patrons purchasing concession tickets may be asked to present valid ID or concession cards upon entry.

HOW DO I MAKE A GROUP BOOKING?

Selected performances at Spiegel Haus may offer discounted rates for group bookings. To check availability or to organise a group booking, please email info@spiegelhausmelb.com for more information.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGET TO BRING MY TICKET TO A PERFORMANCE OR I CAN'T FIND IT?

If you’ve misplaced or forgotten your ticket our Box Office team will gladly assist you. The Box Office is located at 217 Lonsdale Street, with additional access available via the Celestial Avenue entrance.

HOW DO I KNOW I AM BUYING TICKETS FROM AN AUTHORISED SELLER?

For all shows at Spiegel Haus, the only authorised ticket seller is Universe, accessed via the Spiegel Haus website.

We strongly encourage customers to avoid purchasing tickets from unauthorised third-party sellers or resale websites, as there is no guarantee these tickets will be valid for entry. Entry may be refused if the authenticity or validity of a ticket cannot be verified.

CAN I BRING MY GUIDE DOG OR ASSISTANCE ANIMAL INTO THE VENUE?

Guide, hearing, and service assistance animals are welcome inside Spiegel Haus, in line with the Companion Animals Act. To ensure appropriate seating is allocated, please contact our Box Office team when booking.

I HAVE LOW MOBILITY AND DON'T WANT TO CLIMB TOO MANY STAIRS. WHERE SHOULD I SIT?

If you use a mobility aid, we recommend booking our accessible seating which provides level access.
If you have limited mobility but can manage a few stairs, there are seating options in areas that require fewer steps.

If you have difficulty with stairs or long distances, please let our front-of-house team know, they will be happy to assist.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

IS THERE A CLOAKROOM AVAILABLE?

We don’t provide storage or a cloakroom, so please only bring the essentials. Bags larger than A4 size aren’t permitted inside.

WILL THERE BE FOOD AND DRINK AVAILABLE AT THE VENUE?

Yes! For a unique experience, try our roof top Mexican food truck, serving delicious and authentic meals and bites. Inside, our bars offer light snacks and a curated drinks menu to enjoy before or during the show.

Subsequently, Spiegel Haus Melbourne sits in the heart of Melbourne near the vibrant Chinatown precinct and Lonsdale Street dining strip, offering plenty of pre and post-show options.
No external food or drink items are permitted within the venue.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE FOR THE VENUE?

Spiegel Haus does not have a set dress code. Most guests come in smart casual attire, though you’re welcome to dress up if you’d like to make it a special occasion. Our priority is that you’re comfortable and able to enjoy the show but we do ask that clothing and footwear are appropriate for a public venue.

HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE VENUE AND WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM RUNNING LATE TO A PERFORMANCE?

We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your performance to enjoy our bars and rooftop area and soak up the pre-show atmosphere in our beautiful foyer.

If you arrive late, our front of house team will assist you. You may be asked to wait in the foyer or watch the performance on screens until you can be seated at a suitable break, or you may be placed in alternate seats temporarily. Latecomer policies vary by performance.

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN AND DO THEY NEED A TICKET?

We welcome guests of all ages to Spiegel Haus. Each performance may have its own age recommendations or content advisories, which you can find in the event details on our website to help decide if it’s suitable for your child.
